Balinese Gardens – How Far Suitable for Melbourne Climate


These day’s Balinese gardens are getting highly popular in Melbourne and adjacent areas. But often people complaint about that they don’t really carry out the garden for long time after landscaping the design. Reason, most of the plants cannot survive the Australian climate for longer. 

Well, it is completely untrue. Balinese gardens are just perfect for Melbourne because, both the places fall in Tropical zone and both the places have moderate oceanic climate. So, there is no point that Bali plants not surviving in Melbourne. 

If you are complaining the same, it must be because your gardener has not selected the right plant for your garden. Balinese gardens include short height plants, bushes, creeping plants, large trees like palm trees and tall trees like bamboo. However, each of them need maintenance and care as per individual requirements. Ask your garden to take your consideration before plantation. Also, tell your criteria, whether you like to spend time over gardening and caring plants or you want it simply to sit in there to please your eyes.

Feel free to choose plants, tall to create privacy and short bushes to get more greenery. There are some plants which can make the surrounding climate cool and pleasing. Melbourne’s climate is though not very extreme in winters and summers, yet planting some cool plants like abysinnian bananas or real bananas that grow really fast and look fantastic, and also create a rich tropical garden. You can also use palm trees, except Queen or cocos palm. Don’t be doubtful of your choice. Choose whatever plant you want, but make sure you get an experienced and professional gardener for your garden.
